FAQs

Can I use images that are posted on the website?
Obviously I am in business to support my family through my photography - so if everything was free - you would all be happy, but my kids would starve! If an image is posted on the blog, myspace or facebook - you are pretty much free to use the image on your own blog, facebook or myspace page. You may not remove the watermark or Mauldin Photography logo from any image. For all images posted on this site, the wedding site, or portrait site - you may not use the image in any way. Printing, copying, downloading, posting, altering, or making any other use of the image is a violation of Federal Copyright laws.Sorry!

How do I order photos I see on the website?
There are really two answers to this question. If you want to pay using your debit / credit card AND you have a paypal account - just click on "buy this photo" and go through the paypal shopping cart. If you want to pay with cash, money order or check - call 870.219.6504 or email me cheryl@mauldinphotography.com with your order. You will need the photo number to orde by phone or email. When ordering by email or telephone, I will give you the total amount due, which you must mail to me before I place your order.

How do I find the photo number?
Beneath each image in the single image view, there is a photo number. Usually it is your last name / event name followed by a few numbers. It is NOT the long number that appears if you hover the cursor over the image.

How long until I receive my order?
If you are ordering sports photos, you can generally expect your order in about two weeks. Portraits generally take two to four weeks. Wedding albums generally take four to six weeks, after you approve the designs. Those are all general guidelines. Some products do take longer. Some of our wedding products come from Italy, so, of course, that takes longer. I will typically let you know at the time you order when you can reasonably expect your order. The Christmas holidya season, beginning December 1st, does tend to cause delays in receiving products - either because the printer is swamped or the delivery companies are swamped. If I think your order will take longer than expected, I will let you know.

How will I receive my order?
That really depends on what you order and where you live. I like to personally deliver whenever possible. However, out-of-town sports clients will generally receive orders by mail. Out of state clients will usually also receive orders through the mail or UPS. Although in some cases, even out of state clients will have products personally delivered. I will almost always let you know how you will receive your order when it is placed.

Can I order images that are no longer posted on the website?
Usually yes. But, you will need the image number. So, if you are waiting until the end of a particular sports season to place one big order - write down the numbers throughout the season.


Why are wedding clients required to sign a contract?
This protects both me and you. It is a basic outline of what you are hiring me to do, guarantees you the price of that service on the day you sign, and outlines what my responsibilities are to you. This prevents misunderstandings and has helped me have hundreds of very happy wedding clients.

If my school already has a company that does senior portraits, can I still use your studio?
You absolutely can! Regardless of who your school contracts to provide yearbook photos, you can still book a session with Mauldin Photography.. You will probably have to use the school's photographer for your yearbook photos - bummer. But, if want something besides the carbon-copy portraits from school photographers, book a Senior Style session with Mauldin Photography. I promise you will love your portraits! And, if your school does need a digital image for the yearbook, we can do that, too.

What kind of equipment do you use?
Nice shiny black Canon equipment. Seriously, I have several different cameras, depending on the job, with all the necessary accessories. And, in multiple quantities just in case Murphy comes to the shoot!

100% digital and loving it!

Can my photos be enhanced?
That depends. If you are asking if red-eyes can be edited out, our acne smoothed, or stray hairs removed - yes. Basic retouching is no additional charge and is completed on all orders, without you having to ask. If you have a special request, let me know when you order. If you want to look like Jennifer Aniston....it's a camera - not a magic wand:-)
